This Vanilla skies parasol is quite lovely, is it not?

Buenos Aires Dress
I've fallen in love with this whimsical (good adjective, no?) dress. I found it in this post at Creature Comforts. Available from Mod Cloth.
99 Feelings
Artmind on Etsy has a beautiful project entitled 99 feelings. She creates unglazed ceramic babushkas which each represent a feeling. I like how raw the sculptures appear, it emulates the feeling more strongly, to me. Projects like this inspire me. You can see every single feeling here or watch a short montage on artmind's blog.
Black and White
Here are a few photo's from my black and white birthday dinner party, which was held last night. Lots of fun.

Earth Hour
After reading That Unreliable Girl's myriad of posts about earth hour, I've been inspired (rather, wooed by these brilliant pictures) to take part in this event. If you don't know what Earth Hour is, I strongly encourage that you click here to learn more. The only problem is that I'll be watching The Boy From Oz at my birthday party for the whole hour (Tickets have been bought and invites have been sent). So, I've had to settle for getting all of you readers involved and telling my mother that she has to turn out all the lights while I'm out. Earth Hour is scheduled for 8:30 pm, your local time, Saturday 28th March. One hour. It doesn't take much to make a difference.
P.S. I must admit, although I am an environmentally minded person, the main purpose of this post was to show you these pretty pictures. I hope you like them.

I want these too!
More whinging about things I want. When will I stop being such a whiney little kid?
1. Sun Jar ($45)
1. Sun Jar ($45)
2. Rococo Chalkboard Wall Decal ($42)
3. Crosley Nomad Portable Speaker ($72)
All from, you guessed it, Urban Outfitters.
(These still don't measure up to the awesome spanish shirt though.)
I want one!
I am in dire need of one of these cute Dr. Seuss t-shirts. In case you can't decipher Spanish, (which I'd have to say is my favourite language) the shirt reads "One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish," in true Dr. Seuss style. Available here for only $24; from my favourite, Urban Outfitters.

Made by girl
A brilliant new collection of cute greeting cards has been unveiled over at the made by girl shop. I love how they incorporate a lot of my favourite things at the moment: soft colours, silhouettes, rose flowers and modern floral patterns. I rather enjoy calling people 'dearie' too. There's also a whole host of other cool things to be found over at the shop, and the made by girl blog makes for lovely reading. Enjoy.

Sound wave bracelets
I found these over at the Make magazine blog and I think they're pretty cool. I love the design idea - theyre a custom bracelet of a soundwave renered in 3D. They're actually part of some anti-drug campaign or something; the idea being that a parent records an anti-drug related message and the kid keeps it with them always. I would make a bunch of these for my friends, but unfortunately I can't see anything on the site about recording non-drug-related messages. How sad.
Headlights
I've recently decided that I want fairy lights as a headboard type decoration over my bed. Unfortunately, this is the only photo I can find, but it's not really the look I was going for. I'll show you all when I put my idea into practise (probably never).

Fire Hair
Ahh, I've been so busy lately, I just need a rest. It's all okay though, because it's friday now. Yay!
Sometime during the week I drew this bottom picture, which I copied (not traced) from the top picture. I then gave her pretty fire hair in watercolours. She just seemed like a firey-type person.
The origional image is by Mycharliegirl on deviantart and is convieniently packaged in a wallpaper size. Mychaliegirl has some really beautiful illustrations, this is by far the simplest in her gallery. I might have to do a post on her sometime to show you all my favourites.

Friendly Freckles
I'm loving these adorable freckle-smattered Blythe dolls. I think this cutie looks like my friend B. Trishiekoh has a whole post on them here.
It's Friday!
Ahh, Friday at last. I thought this week would never end.
Three wonderful things have happened today -
Three wonderful things have happened today -
- I received this lovely 'I Like You' award from Trishiekoh. I'm so proud. :)
- I have discovered that I would love to start a collection of pretty glass bottles filled with single white flowers and display them on my shelf.
- I picked up a pair of knitting needles for 20 cents so I can start knitting my beret. 20 cents!
I like you too, Trishiekoh! I like you too.

Message in a Bottle
MinatureRhino offers the cutest service on etsy. If you provide her with a message, she'll type it on to vintage book paper with her adorable typewriter, seal it with an itty-bitty wax stamp, place the whole lot in a tiny glass vial then top it of with a pretty monogram-stamped key. What an adorable way to send a note to the one you love.

Slouchy Beret Patterns
I found a brilliant free pdf pattern for a slouchy beret here. How exciting! Now all I need to do is learn to knit or crochet. I'm not sure which. To tell the truth, I don't know anything about making woolly-type accessories. I suppose I could always go out to the shops and buy a beret for around $10, but where's the fun in that? Now I'm off to learn a new skill. Knitting, I think.
More lovely free hat patterns here and a beret pattern guide here. My favourite is the Meret.

Pretty as a Picture
Pretty pictures by =As-Pretty-As-A-Picture on Deviantart.
Wonderfully, I have reason to believe this brilliantly talented 16 year old lives in my very own city as I vaguely remember reading about a young up-and-coming photographer in the paper and seeing some of her photos. How brilliant.
Naturally, I am very jealous of her talent.

Urban Outfitters Love
It's at times like this that I wish I either A) own a credit card or B) live in America.
Urban Outfitters stocks such pretty clothing. I can never quite seem to find anything I like in the shops around here, yet I log on to Urban Outfitters and immediately fall in love with everything I see. I can see myself attempting to make some variation of all of these in the near future. Lets hope it works out for the best. I especially love the beret. Scarfs and berets are my new-found love.

Junk Polaroid
A family friend has unearthed an unwanted polaroid camera from her various amounts of junk. She said I can have it if I'd like. How wonderfully exciting!

Magical thinking at inchmark
This post over at inchmark is all too cute. You simply must read it.
It makes me want to have kids of my own. I fear I'm a little too young for the time being though.
When the time does come, I'm absolutely sure that one will have green eyes and another will be spanish-looking. But if they aren't, I'll still love them just as much. They will have beautiful names like Chloe, Bella, Rose and Luca.
They will be wonderful.
Le Love
This made me smile.
This is a pretty one from over there too.
How I wish I lived in the land of Le Love.

Birthday
So today is my Birthday, YAY! I want a cake like the one in this photo by dotsara of flickr. Sadly, I'm not that great at baking or cake icing.
No cake (I don't actually like cake) but, I did get Lily Allen's new album and the Triple J Hottest 100 v.16 and my Dad's planning on getting me scuba diving lessons. How cool is that? I also went for a bit of a shop with my step-sister, Ash, and bought myself a rad scarf for $12, among other things. I love scarfs.

I'm getting more and more excited about my party, which is at the end of the month. I'm having a classy dinner party at mine, followed by a trip to the theater. Invitees received their invitations in the mail yesterday. I was busy making them all last weekend; They are so cute! I finished by sealing them with red wax seals, but I took the photos before I did that.
I'm off to The Court Theater tonight to see Cake. How appropriate. I'm not particularly excited about the play, but seeing A, B and T (friends) should be good.
Happy days.
(P.S. Now that everyone knows T's address, feel free to stalk him. I'm sure he'd enjoy that .)

Hair clips
Inspired by theses pretties from Urban Outfitters, today I made these pearl bead hair clips. Theyre so simple, yet so cute. Love.
Hmm, my face appears to be missing... maybs I should lay off the makeup.
